Welcome to Trendy Tails Grooming Studio! I'm Angela Applegate, the owner and sole professional groomer, and I'm delighted to offer private, one-on-one care from my specialized home studio. With over 15 years of dedicated experience, my mission is to provide an exceptionally calm, stress-free environment for your beloved pet.

My grooming journey began in a small kennel in Friendsville, Tennessee, while raising my young children — a setting that taught me patience, trust, and the deep bond between pets and their people. In 2009, I officially launched my professional grooming career and soon became known for my gentle handling and attention to detail.

I was honored to be part of the award-winning team at Foxy Locks Pet Grooming in Knoxville, where our salon earned "Best of the Best Knoxville" recognition for several consecutive years and was featured in Cityview Magazine for excellence in pet care. I've also been voted "Best Person-Groomer" in Blount County, a recognition that truly reflects my heart for animals and commitment to their comfort.

The heart of my philosophy is gentle handling and trust-building. I truly cherish the process of connecting with each dog, helping them grow comfortable with grooming, and watching them leave not only looking fabulous but feeling relaxed and happy. The single-dog format at Trendy Tails means your companion receives my undivided attention — they are never rushed or kenneled.

While I love caring for all breeds, I have a special passion for terriers, a love that began with the Miniature Schnauzers I grew up with. I remain committed to professional development and uphold the highest standards of care through my memberships with the National Cat Groomers Institute and the International Professional Groomers (IPG).
